The company set a goal to launch FanCraze 2.0. They aimed to add new features, making the platform more engaging and user-friendly. A team of 30+ developers on the client’s side focused on building the core functionality. Meanwhile, FanCraze’s leaders saw the value in involving outsourcing experts to cover the resource gap and enrich the platform with several advanced features in a fraction of the time.
One of the biggest challenges for the FanCraze team was working on product design. Since the company strove to speed up Time-to-Market, they focused primarily on feature development. At some point, FanCraze also recognized the need to enhance the design part to deliver the holistic experience their users deserve. The company wanted to combine radical design simplification with broad functionality to make the platform both versatile and user-friendly.
FanCraze’s system in beta has a limited number of users. The company needed to ensure unlimited platform scalability from day one after the official release to process thousands of requests simultaneously and achieve uninterrupted operation. Preparing the system for spikes was crucial to prevent scalability issues and a drop in user engagement.
FanCraze planned to roll out crucial product updates, such as Picks, Seasonal Flash Prizes, and Sets, before the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023. That event was a litmus paper for the company regarding user engagement in new betting and gamification functionality. Consequently, the tight 8-month schedule made developers do their best to ensure users had more opportunities in time.
