// About the Project

Project Overview

Chingari is a leading video-sharing social media platform popular in India, Indonesia, and Turkey. This blockchain-first app rewards engagement by granting exchangeable Gari coins. It supports 10+ languages and has 50M+ users.

The proof-of-concept MVP attracted 2M+ users but the architecture couldn't handle 10M daily users. UppLabs was brought in to migrate to microservices with zero downtime using Kubernetes, API Gateway, and Kafka.

UppLabs also developed new features including messaging, video categories, and NFT creation — with RabbitMQ brokers reducing processing from 100 to 10 operations during peak times.

// Challenges

Problems We Solved

01

Lack of Scalability

MVP attracted 2M+ users but architecture couldn't handle 10M daily users. Needed complete architectural migration.

02

Architectural Changes

Required migration to microservices architecture with zero downtime to avoid disrupting the existing user base.

03

Lack of Senior Talent

Needed senior engineers to rebuild the system core and implement best practices across the codebase.

04

Functionality Expansion

Messaging, video categories, and NFT creation features needed to be developed alongside the migration.

// Solutions

How We Delivered

01

Microservices Migration

Zero-downtime migration using Kubernetes, API Gateway, Kafka, and CI/CD pipelines for continuous delivery.

02

Feature Development

Built video categories, NFT creation, and RabbitMQ messaging — reducing processing from 100 to 10 operations in peak times.

03

Best Practices

Implemented SOLID principles, clean code standards, and maintainable codebase across all services.
